Everything I knew about Toronto I learned from HGTV. But a recent long weekend in the Eastern Canadian mecca of nearly 3 million helped me beef up my knowledge and spark a new urban crush. And given the U.S. election results, Drake’s hometown is looking better every day. A place of casual sophistication, Toronto just encourages free thinking, free moving and free learning.
A mix of modern and vintage, it’s like New York only smaller, cleaner, more friendly and more accessible. Over the course of three days I walked a dozen miles and experienced this city from the ground up, finding inspiration and opportunities for reflection at every turn.
